Ed Orgeron conquered his greatest obstacle on Saturday as his team took down Nick Saban and Alabama. It looks like it’s finally LSU’s year in the SEC, and maybe even in the entire country.
The Tigers are on a quest to bring the national championship trophy back to Baton Rouge. But to get there, Orgeron knows his team must forget about the win on Saturday and focus on the next task – Ole Miss.
The LSU head coach revealed his message to his players following the team’s win over Alabama.
“They know what we’re shooting for,” Orgeron said on Monday afternoon. “We don’t talk about it. But we wanna win. We wanna win and Ole Miss is in our way. That’s it.”
Seems like the Tigers aren’t getting ahead of themselves. Plenty of teams have trouble remaining focused after such a big win. But Orgeron has his team dialed in.

LSU has three regular season games remaining – the Tigers still have to play Ole Miss, Arkansas and Texas A&M. If the team plays to its standard, none of those games will pose much of a challenge.
But college football is a crazy sport. That’s why Orgeron is emphasizing the end goal for his team.
The Tigers get back on the field this Saturday against Ole Miss.
