Colin Cowherd has made some absurd takes over the years, but his latest take might top them all.

There's a pretty general consensus that former LSU QB Joe Burrow is the best quarterback in this year's upcoming NFL Draft. The elite prospect just had the best individual season in college football history, won the Heisman trophy and the National Championship. There's a reason Burrow is going to be the first overall NFL Draft pick.

One could make an argument that former Ohio State DE Chase young is better than Burrow. Either way, both are elite prospects. But Cowherd doesn't believe Burrow is elite. He doesn't even believe the former LSU QB is "great." Here's what Cowherd had to say regarding why he believe Burrow isn't that special of a prospect:

"Joe Burrow is not a great prospect," Cowherd said during his show on Tuesday. "He's a great story... It is remarkable to me when we dismiss stuff that matters. Arm, maturity, wonderlic, hand size. It all matters."

This is absolutely crazy. Burrow's not a great prospect - he's an elite prospect.

The former LSU QB is likely heading to the Cincinnati Bengals in the upcoming draft.

Burrow's rookie season will be fascinating to watch.
