Derrick Henry Overtakes Leonard Fournette As Heisman Favorite On Bovada

Leonard Fournette quickly established himself as the Heisman favorite early in the season, and rode that wave through the weekend. Today, after Fournette struggled mightily against Alabama's elite defense, he was supplanted by his Crimson Tide counterpart Derrick Henry as the Heisman favorite, per sportsbook Bovada.

Bovada Heisman Trophy odds as of November 9th.

Fournette was held to 31 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries against Alabama, and is at 1,383 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns on the season. Henry, on the other hand, dominated LSU, rushing for 210 yards and three touchdowns. He is not far off Fournette's season pace now, with 1,254 yards and 17 touchdowns, while Alabama still gives Kenyan Drake some solid run as well. The Heisman race certainly got interesting in a hurry, after it appeared that Fournette had all but locked it up.
