Details Emerging From Joe Burrow's First Practice At LSU

LSU training camp is underway. That means the Joe Burrow Era in Baton Rouge has begun.

The Ohio State grad transfer hasn't won the starting quarterback job at LSU yet, but Burrow stands a good chance of doing so. He wouldn't have transferred in if he didn't think he could be "the guy."

Burrow's first practice with his new squad seems to have gone fairly well. He was able to do something none of the other QBs could do.

NOLA.com's Andrew Lopez has the details:

Towards the end of the viewing period open to the media, the quarterbacks started throwing to the scholarship wide receivers and Burrow threw a pretty deep ball to hit Drake Davis in stride.

The next three quarterbacks did not complete their deep throws.

Burrow is still competing with Myles Brennan, Justin McMillan and Lowell Narcisse. However, if he keeps this up, he might beat them all out as expected.
