In just under an hour the first round of the 2020 NFL draft kicks off. The Cincinnati Bengals hold the No. 1 pick, which will be made in a matter of minutes.
Although the draft hasn't officially kicked off yet, one of the top prospects in the draft already knows which jersey number he'll be wearing with his new team. The Bengals will use the No. 1 pick on Joe Burrow.
The former LSU quarterback wore No. 9 on his jersey with the Tigers. He'll keep the same number when he steps on the field for the Bengals in 2020, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Bengals owner Mike Brown already shipped No. 9 jerseys to the Burrow family before the NFL draft. He'll be able to wear his new jersey when the Bengals announce his name later tonight.
Burrow torched the college football world in 2019, amassing over 6,000 yards of offensive and 60 passing touchdowns.
He led the Tigers to an SEC and then a national title on his way to winning the Heisman Trophy. After completing a statistically historic season, Burrow heads off to the NFL.
Bengals fans hope he brings that same success with him to Cincinnati.
The first round of the draft kicks off at 8:00 p.m. ET.
