After LSU's win over South Carolina, Heisman candidate Leonard Fournette announced that he would auction off his game-worn jersey to benefit South Carolina flood relief. After a bit of confusion surrounding the ever-unclear NCAA rules, Fournette is being allowed to sell the jersey, and LSU is now listing it for auction. Eight bids are in, and if you want the jersey, along with game-used helmets signed by Les Miles and Steve Spurrier, you better have five digits at the ready.
As we said originally, this is a very nice gesture by Fournette, who appears to be a very mature, thoughtful player. We hope this raises a lot of money to help everyone affected by the flooding in the Columbia area.
