Leonard Fournette Huge Heisman Favorite After 2nd Straight 200 Yard Game, Per Bovada

Leonard Fournette is unstoppable. The LSU superstar followed up his highlight-filled battering of Auburn, in which he rushed for 228 yards and three touchdowns, with another excellent performance against Syracuse. Fournette gashed the Orange for 244 yards and two scores, leading the Tigers to a tough 34-24 victory in the Carrier Dome. With 631 yards and eight touchdowns in three games—all against "power five" opponents—Fournette has established himself as the heavy favorite to win the Heisman Trophy through four weeks. His odds at Bovada jumped from 11/2 to 3/2 over the last two weeks.

Fournette fell just six yards shy of LSU's single game rushing record against Syracuse. He almost certainly would've broken it a week earlier against Auburn, but he did not touch the ball in the fourth quarter. He is already drawing Heisman predictions from people like LSU legend Shaquille O'Neal and Syracuse great and NFL Hall of Fame running back Floyd Little, who told the young Tiger back that he would see him in New York for the ceremony. It is incredibly earlier to crown a Heisman winner, but Fournette is on pace to run for well over 2,000 yards in just 11 games. We don't see him slowing down much.
