Les Miles Announces That Brandon Harris Will Start At QB Over Anthony Jennings For LSU Against Auburn

After five games, the ongoing quarterback battle at LSU has taken a major shift. During a media session today, head coach Les Miles announced that freshman Brandon Harris will start Saturday's crucial SEC West game at Auburn.

Through the first five games, the stats certain back up Miles' decision to go with Harris over the incumbent, sophomore Anthony Jennings. So far this season, Jennings has completed just 50.6% of his passes, and has put up 734 yards, five touchdowns, and three interceptions. Harris has 394 yards on 73.3% passing, and six touchdowns to just one interception, in fewer than half of the passes that Jennings has thrown. When it comes to ESPN's 'Total Quarterback Rating' statistic, Harris comes in at a near-perfect 95.5, while Jennings has put up a 37.4 so far this year.

LSU and Auburn will kick off at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
