LSU alum and Baton Rouge native Scott Woodward is already well-liked by Tiger fans. If he keeps cracking jokes on Nick Saban, they will like him even more.
During a stop on a speaking tour in Louisiana, Woodward spoke with fans about LSU's reputation and its ability to land and retain top level coaches. It was then he threw a jab at the Alabama head coach.
“I know that there’s a guy in Alabama that has regrets that he’s not here today and shame on him," Woodward said. "But, we have one (Skip Bertman) with a higher IQ that’s here today.”
Of course, Saban was at LSU in the early 2000s, where he won a national championship. He's doing pretty well at Alabama though.
Saban has the last laugh right now too. His program hasn't lost to LSU since 2011, and he's won five national titles since the Tigers last won one.
LSU and Alabama will meet in Tuscaloosa on November 9.
