Arden Key will be back for this Saturday's contest versus Mississippi State.
According to The Advocate's Ross Dellenger, LSU linebacker Arden Key will be back in the fold this Saturday, as head coach Ed Orgeron announced at his weekly news conference that he's been cleared to play. Key was cleared Monday by LSU's athletic trainer after passing several strength tests.
Oregeron was clear in his presser that he intends to get Key in the game ASAP.
"We're going to play him as much as we can," Orgeron said, per The Advocate.
Key underwent shoulder surgery in May, and in recent weeks has made huge strides in his recovery. The linebacker participated contact drills last Tuesday and practiced without an injury jersey on Wednesday.
Key's return is huge for a defensive unit that is already one of the best in the nation.
