LSU defensive tackle Davon Godchaux arrested earlier today and released after being charged with false imprisonment.
According to WBRZ sports director Michael Cauble, Godchaux was arrested for "pulling his girlfriend's hair" and yanking her back into his apartment during an argument. Because his 10-month-old child was present, he also faces a child endangerment charge.
Godchaux was reportedly released on $3,000 bond.
Now in his third-year starting, Godchaux has 20 tackles and two sacks in four games this season. However, his LSU career might be over, or at least put on hold, after today.
Update: According to The Advocate's Ross Dellenger, both Godchaux and his girlfriend were arrested.
The mother of Godchaux’s 10-month-old child is the victim in the case, but, because of “conflicting stories,” she was also arrested for domestic abuse battery/child endangerment, the police report notes.
