LSU DB Says Tigers Will "Still Have The No. 1 Defense" Despite Losing Their D-Coordinator, "It's (About) The Players"

LSU's defense will be led by a new man in 2015.

The Tigers lost their defensive coordinator, John Chavis, to Texas A&M earlier this week. He had held his position in Baton Rouge, La., since 2009. During his stint with LSU, the Tigers' defense was one of the most stout in the country.

LSU's defense won't suffer from the loss of Chavis, though, says sophomore defensive back Dwayne Thomas.

As long as Les Miles can continue to recruit elite defensive talent to Louisiana, the Tigers will likely be just fine on that side of the ball. But it's a little ignorant to say LSU's defense won't suffer from the departing of Chavis, who is possibly the best defensive game planner in country.
