John Chavis is off to Texas A&M and it appears the outgoing LSU defensive coordinator left before giving his players a formal goodbye.
Chavis, 58, was hired to become the Aggies' new defensive coordinator earlier this week. He had been at LSU for six years, helping lead a Tigers defense that was often among the country's best. At Texas A&M, Chavis will be responsible for revamping a unit that has been prone to allowing a lot of points over the past couple of seasons.
Tre'Davious White, a sophomore defensive back at LSU, does not appear to be happy with the way Chavis departed the program.
White deleted the tweet and proceeded to tweet the following:
There's nothing wrong with White being a little upset at Chavis if he left without saying goodbye. And despite a poor departure from the program, Chavis will likely be remembered fondly by his Tigers' players.
