LSU's AD Says Game Against Florida "Is Not Going To Happen"

LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva made it clear Friday morning that the game against Florida will not be played.

Thursday afternoon, it was announced by the SEC that the contest scheduled between LSU and Florida, set for Saturday, would be postponed due to Hurricane Matthew. Friday morning, LSU AD Joe Alleva made it clear that despite the hurricane moving a bit further east, the game is not going to be played.

Alleva joined ESPN 104.5 to talk about the situation.

Alleva, when asked, said it's going to be "very difficult" to make up the contest later in the season.

Obviously, this presents a number of problems for the SEC. If two teams playing one less league game, the standings will be affected greatly. As we noted yesterday, Butch Jones and Tennessee likely wouldn't be thrilled with the decision.
