After a 7-0 start to the season in which the LSU offense scored less than 34 points just one time, the Tigers limped their way into a bowl game against Texas Tech, failing to score more than 20 in their final four games.
The offense struggled mightily down the strech, and the Tigers dropped three of their last four, knocking them out of playoff contention. It had to have been hard on the players, especially after such a spectacular start to the season. But with one more game to play, they're likely as determined as ever. And Sunday afternoon, LSU quarterback Brandon Harris, who took part in some of those struggles, posted a message on Instagram about adversity.
With the way the regular season wrapped up, LSU fans will be happy to see that players are making no excuses. They're ready to work and come out with a win.
LSU and Texas Tech are scheduled to kick off the Advocare V100 Texas Bowl December 29 at 9 p.m. on ESPN.
