On Saturday night, the LSU Tigers won the biggest game of the college football season.
Ed Orgeron and the Tigers went into Bryant-Denny Stadium and walked out with a 46-41 win over the most dominant football program of the past decade.
For the first time in eight years, LSU emerged victorious in a battle with Alabama. The Crimson Tide fought back over the second half, but quarterback Joe Burrow and company were just too much to overcome.
With the win, LSU overtook Ohio state as the No. 1 team in the College Football Playoff rankings.
The win over Alabama is just the beginning for the Tigers, though. With Ole Miss next on the schedule, LSU needs to avoid a let-down game to keep its SEC title hopes alive.
LSU Football’s latest post on Twitter might tell us a little about the team’s mindset. It looks like the Tigers are ready to face just about anyone.

LSU will be a heavy favorite in its three remaining games against Ole Miss, Arkansas and Texas A&M. If the Tigers win-out, they’ll be in the SEC title game and the likely No. 1 team in the country at that point.
A trip to the College Football Playoff looms. But first, the Rebels await.
