The Mad Hatter dipped into his bag of tricks on Saturday, running a fake field goal that resulted in a 16 yard touchdown run for LSU kicker Trent Domingue, which proved to be the game winner in the 35-28 Tigers victory. Domingue was understandably nervous about the play, and actually blacked out during the run.
NOLA.com transcribed Domingue's retelling of the play:
"I guess my hands were shaking," he said. "My whole body was."
That was the first step. It got weirder.
"I kind of did black out in the middle of it and I'm not really sure what happened after that," Domingue said, like he was explaining where he parked his car.
"I ended up on the other side of the field and almost forgot to kick the extra point. That was difficult. I was kind of tired after that."
Luckily, we're in 2015, so he can go back and watch it a few hundred times, even if he doesn't remember actually scoring the touchdown.
