LSU's Danielle Hunter has yet to announce his plans for the future, but the junior defensive end appears to be headed to the NFL.
Hunter's teammate, senior defensive end Jermauria Rasco, congratulated him for declaring for the NFL with an Instagram post published Monday afternoon.
An LSU spokesman confirmed to Ross Dellenger that the Instagram account belongs to Rasco.
According to Chris Price of WBRZ in Baton Rouge, Hunter sent a text message to the station saying he will not be returning to the NFL. An LSU team spokesman denied that a text message was sent, though.
Hunter, a 6-foot-6, 240-pound defensive lineman, is projected by many NFL Draft analysts to be a high-round draft pick. Most experts believe the defensive end could be a second-or-third round pick.
