Report: LSU DT Trey Lealaimatafao Arrested Following Bar Fight, Suspended From The Tigers' Team

LSU redshirt freshman defensive tackle Trey Lealaimatafao has been suspended from the Tigers' team following a bar fight that led to his arrest, according to a report by The Advocate.

Lealaimatafao, 18, reportedly was arrested for simple battery and simple robbery, a felony, after getting in a fight in the parking lot of a Baton Rouge, La., bar.

From The Advocate's report:

Lealaimatafao, a redshirt freshman from Texas, beat an unnamed male victim unconscious and then punched the victim’s girlfriend in the face with a closed fist in the parking lot of Reggie’s bar on Tuesday, police records show.

Lealaimatafao dug through the male victim’s pockets after the alleged beating. Three eye witnesses told police that the football player fled the scene when authorities arrived. All three witnesses gave police similar accounts of the incident and identified Lealaimatafao out of a photo lineup.

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office booked Lealaimatafao, 18, at 2:02 p.m. Thursday and he remains in jail on $15,000 bond.

Lealaimatafao was a three-star prospect in LSU's 2014 class. He redshirted this past fall.
