LSU was in the market for a new defensive coordinator after Kevin Steele left to join rival Auburn. Now, the Tigers have found Steele’s replacement.
Moments ago, LSU officially announced it had hired Wisconsin defensive coordinator Dave Aranda to take Steele’s place.

Aranda is a strong hire on paper. He’s led the Badgers’ defense the past three seasons, his units ranking in the top 10 in total defense all three campaigns. Aranda also has coordinating experience at Southern Utah, Hawaii and Utah State.
