247‘s Sonny Shipp spoke to Queen about his decision.
“I feel like it’s the right decision,” Queen said. “Me and my parents had been talking about it for a while and praying on it, and if the opportunity presented itself, I was going to make the most of it.
“I always wanted to play in Death Valley. And I always wanted to wear the purple-and-gold. My family lives in that area, so they will be able to watch me all the time.”
247Sports lists Queen as an ‘athlete,’ and has him ranked No. 13 among all players in Louisiana.
Queen is the fourth member of LSU’s 2017 class. All are from Louisiana.
