Steve Spurrier joined The Paul Finebaum Show this afternoon. During his appearance, the Head Ball Coach talked about Nick Saban’s comment that Georgia is the best job in the SEC.
Does the former South Carolina coach agree with his former rival? Mostly.
The now-retired Spurrier believes Georgia and LSU are the two-best jobs in the SEC, though he says Saban has made Alabama into the best job in the conference, right now.

Georgia and LSU have most of the same things going for them: they’re elite programs stationed in fertile recruiting states with basically no in-state competition to land those prospects.
If an elite recruit in Louisiana or Georgia wants to stay close to home, they’re going to play for the Tigers and the Bulldogs.
That’s a massive plus for those two programs.
