2014 was a bit of a rebuilding year for the LSU Tigers, as Les Miles was forced to play a number of first and second year players on both offense and defense. Not surprisingly, however, a few stood out as future stars. Freshman defensive back Jamal Adams, at least when he wasn't flopping to draw penalties, was one of them. It looks like at least one former Tigers star is noticing, too.
Tyrann Mathieu, the Honey Badger, had a bit of an unceremonious ending to his stay in Baton Rouge. But he's still clearly all about his former school. The current Arizona Cardinal thinks that Adams is going to be the best safety in the game in 2015.
It's high praise from someone who himself once was considered the best as his position in the sport. We'll see if Adams lives up to it.
