There aren’t many better college football settings than Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge on a Saturday night. Big brother LSU plays little brother UL Monroe in week three.
The Tigers stormed back to defeat Wisconsin in their first game and did what they were supposed to do in a 56-0 victory against Sam Houston State. UL Monroe won a pair of seven-point games at home against Wake Forest and Idaho.

Prediction: LSU is still trying to get its offense figured out. Anthony Jennings is the starting quarterback for now, but freshman Brandon Harris has seen some snaps this season. The Tigers will count on Kenny Hilliard and Leonard Fournette to run the ball well against the Warhawks.
UL Monroe dominated Wake Forest in every statistic, other than the score. In fact, the Warhawks out-gained the Demon Deacons in yardage, 352-94. Idaho gave them a bit more trouble, especially through the air. UL Monroe’s rush defense has looked good so far – it will need to be dominant to shut down LSU.
LSU plays Mississippi State next week and UL Monroe has a bye week. The Tigers are still trying to find an identity on offense and the Warhawks will be ready to play against the big program in the state. We’ll take LSU to win the game, but UL Monroe against the spread.
