Alabama vs. LSU has become one of the most special rivalries in college football - partially because of the competition on the field, and partially because of the respect they have for one another. Saturday night, before the contest even began, we saw a pretty cool display of sportsmanship from both coaches.
Les Miles, who lost his mother the Friday night before his team's game against Ole Miss earlier this season, made sure to seek out Nick Saban before kickoff to thank him for sending his condolences. Saban commented that he was with his mother when he found out, so it hit him especially hard. Via ABC 3340:
