LSU is rolling under Ed Orgeron, but Alabama is at a different level this season. Nevertheless, LSU students chanted "we want Bama" tonight.
The Tigers are undefeated since firing head coach Les Miles and promoting Ed Orgeron to interim head coach. The team was seriously impressive tonight, beating Ole Miss 38-21 behind a resurgent, record-setting performance by Leonard Fournette. He set a school single-game record for rushing yards with 284 on just 16 carries, and three touchdowns.
As fans are wont to do, even if they don't really mean it, the LSU faithful chanted "we want Bama" as the clock ran out.
LSU will get 'Bama in a big way on November 5, after a bye next weekend. Alabama is No. 1 in the country, and tossed previously undefeated Texas A&M aside at Bryant-Denny Stadium today, 33-14. Alabama will be a big favorite in that one, but if Fournette can put together a superhuman effort against the Crimson Tide, anything can happen.
LSU and Alabama will play at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge. Game time is to be determined, but will be announced this week.
