Athletic Directors Of Kansas State, Mississippi State Agree To Football Home-And-Home Series On Twitter
Well, this is a first. Twitter is usually good for plenty of different types of interactions relating to the college football world - trash talking, news breaking, debate, general conversation, etc. Watching two athletic directors negotiate a home-and-home series on the social media platform isn't exactly a daily occurrence.
Mississippi State AD Scott Stricklin and Kansas State AD John Currie got a deal done Friday afternoon that will send the Bulldogs to Manhattan in 2018 and the Wildcats to Starkville in 2019. It all started with Currie posting a YouTube video after being dared by Stricklin to complete the "Chillin' 4 Charity" challenge. At the end of the video, Currie ups the ante, asking Stricklin and his team to come to Manhattan to play the Wildcats.
Things escalated quickly. Within a few hours, an agreement was reached.

Mississippi State is 2-0 all-time against Kansas State, but the two haven't played since 1977. Back then, they certainly didn't decide to play each other using social media.
