Dan Mullen Getting Blasted Over His Response To Jeffrey Simmons Domestic Abuse Situation

One of the four coaches at today's SEC Media Days is Mississippi State's Dan Mullen. Not surprisingly, Mullen has been peppered with some tough questions that have had nothing to do with football.

Mullen and MSU took plenty of heat this off-season for the decision to admit five-star recruit Jeffery Simmons and suspend him for one game while he was facing charges for punching a woman during a domestic incident involving his sister. The media questioned Mullen extensively about Simmons today, and his full remarks can be found below or by clicking here

In the aftermath of his media session, Mullen is getting blasted on Twitter for his responses, particularly for deflecting responsibility for Simmons' admission to the university and for how he handled a question asking him to imagine if his wife or daughter had been the woman that Simmons assaulted.

Mullen had to know he was going to get grilled this afternoon. Did he handle it properly, or were his comments as tone-deaf as some are saying?
