Greg McElroy Says Mississsippi State's Dak Prescott Is The Best QB In The SEC

Heading into the 2014 college football season, ESPN analyst Jesse Palmer labeled Mississippi State's Dak Prescott as a dark horse Heisman candidate

Prescott probably won't win the Heisman, but through four games, the Bulldogs' quarterback has lived up to the hype of being an elite player. The junior has thrown for 964 yards and 11 touchdowns, while adding 378 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Prescott led Mississippi State to an upset win on the road against LSU this past Saturday.

Today, former Alabama star and SEC Network analyst Greg McElroy said Prescott is the best quarterback in the conference.

Will anyone disagree with that?

Alabama's Blake Sims, Texas A&M's Kenny Hill, and Ole Miss' Bo Wallace have all been very good so far this season - Hill, especially - but none likely mean as much to their team as Prescott does.

Mississippi State has a bye week Saturday before hosting Texas A&M Oct. 4.
