Earlier this week, the Mississippi State community lost one of its finest, as longtime sports broadcaster Jack Cristil passed away at the age of 88 after battling both kidney disease and cancer. Cristil was beloved in Starkville, as he was affectionately known as the “Voice of the Bulldogs” from 1953 to 2011 – nearly 60 years.
Saturday, MSU will be honoring his legacy with a brand new decal for its helmets. As you can see, it appropriately has a microphone as part of its design.

Mississippi State takes on South Alabama at 4:00 PM EST. You can bet the Bulldogs will be pumped up, considering the circumstances.
