Photo: Mississippi State's Bully The Bulldog Had To Be Taken Off On A Stretcher Last Night

We all assumed that the in-state rivalry game between Mississippi State and Ole Miss would be filled with hard hits, but we never thought that a mascot would be on the receiving end of one. During the Egg Bowl last night, MSU's mascot Bully the Bulldog was drilled by an ESPN golf cart and suffered a broken leg, and actually had to be carted off of the field on a stretcher.

Sometimes you see the mascots get in pretend fights to excite the fans, but you know, it's fake. This injury was no joke:

Good job, ESPN.
