Williams is a three-star recruit and the No. 24 player in state via 247Sports' composite rankings, though the site's own rankings are more bullish on him, putting him No. 11 in Mississippi and No. 66 among all 2017 wide receivers.
He is the eighth player to commit to Mississippi State, which has the 18th ranked 2017 class.
