DE Bryan Jones Announces Decommitment From Ole Miss

Bryan Jones, a three-star defensive end from Baton Rouge, La., announced his decommitment from the Ole Miss Rebels on Tuesday afternoon.

Jones, the No. 14 strong-side defensive end in the country, per 247Sports, announced his decision with a note on his Twitter feed.

In the note, he stats that the Rebels remain in his top five schools, but does not elaborate on what that list looks like beyond Ole Miss. Later in the afternoon, he did reveal that Oklahoma had come through with a scholarship offer.

Jones is ranked No. 15 in the state of Louisiana for the class of 2017.

With the loss of Jones, Ole Miss now has 10 players committed in the class, a group ranked No. 53 nationally and No. 12 in the SEC.

He is the second top Ole Miss recruit to back out of his commitment in the last two days. On Monday, four-star outside linebacker Willie Gay decommitted from Hugh Freeze's program.
