Former Cowboys VP Gil Brandt: "Ole Miss Has The Best Team"

Ole Miss is the latest team to fall from the ranks of the undefeated, falling to LSU in Death Valley on Saturday night. Not everyone has hopped off of the Rebels' bandwagon, though. Ole Miss surrendered just 10 points in the loss and have one of college football's nastiest defenses. One high-profile analyst still believes they have the best overall team as well.

Gil Brandt served as VP of player personnel for the Dallas Cowboys from 1960 until 1988, and is now an analyst for NFL.com; clearly he has some terrific insight into the sport. His major concern for Ole Miss, the quarterback position, is the same that many have for Hugh Freeze's team. Bo Wallace had been very efficient up to this point in 2014, but "Bad Bo" emerged at the end of the loss to LSU. If Wallace can return to form for the rest of 2014, Ole Miss can certainly run the table and make the four-team playoff. With numerous other one-loss teams out there now, however, it will be a difficult mountain to climb.
