Ole Miss wide receiver Laquon Treadwell has had an excellent game in tonight's pivotal match-up against Auburn, but it ended a deeply unfortunate play at the goal line. Treadwell nearly gave Ole Miss a lead against the No. 3 Tigers, but instead, fumbled near the goal line, and was injured in the process.
Treadwell, who has 10 catches for 103 yards and a touchdown on the night, caught a screen at the 23 yard line, and appeared to score on the play after carrying Auburn linebacker Kris Frost into the end zone. With Frost pulling down on his jersey, Treadwell took a huge hit from Jonathan Jones, and fumbled as he was entering the end zone. After the play, Treadwell was carried off the field after suffering what appears to be a nasty ankle injury, and Auburn recovered the loose ball for a touchback. Instead of Ole Miss taking a 38-35 lead, Auburn took possession.

Ole Miss got the ball back after stopping Auburn, but was unable to score before time expired, giving the Tigers a big win. We wish Treadwell the best, and hope that the injury is not severe.
