Hugh Freeze is a native Mississippian, so what the Ole Miss coach said this morning at SEC Media Days carries some serious weight.
The 45-year-old coach said it’s time for his home state to move in another direction when it comes to its flag.

Freeze also addressed the possibility of Ole Miss changing its nickname from “Rebels,” which some people have an issue with.
Freeze on if Ole Miss’ Rebels nickname is appropriate: If that’s something that is troublesome to others, I’m sure we would address that

Freeze asked if Ole Miss “Rebel” nickname is appropriate. Said if it’s “troublesome,” it needs to be addressed. “But I haven’t heard that.”
