Ole Miss football coach Hugh Freeze is commenting this morning on the Laremy Tunsil NFL Draft night fiasco and what it means for the Rebels.
Tunsil, the No.13 overall pick by the Miami Dolphins, had a video of him smoking marijuana tweeted out from his account before the draft. Then, his Instagram account was hacked, releasing screenshots of conversations between him and an Ole Miss staffer that appear to show him asking for money (and the staffer agreeing to it). Tunsil then admitted to receiving money from Rebels’ coaches in a press conference after he was picked.
Ole Miss released a statement regarding what happened, saying they will “full investigate” and cooperate with the SEC and NCAA.
Freeze, speaking on a coaches’ teleconference call, says “I know nothing” and is waiting for the investigation to end.
Freeze: I know nothing. I’m not involved in the fact finding process. I was shocked like everyone else.

Hugh Freeze on SEC teleconference basically says Ole Miss still in fact-finding mode about Tunsil comments. Talks a lot about patience.

Asked if he’s concerned about players being paid money, Hugh Freeze just laughed and said, “no”. #Shocker
