Ole Miss had an extremely up-and-down season. After an early win over Alabama in Tuscaloosa, the Rebels were in the driver's seat for an SEC West title. Weeks later, the Rebs were blown out by Florida, then upstart Memphis, and dropped a dramatic game to Arkansas in November, allowing Alabama to reclaim the division. Head coach Hugh Freeze says that his team never got down, however, and because of it, the Rebels are heading to the Sugar Bowl.

It would be easy for Ole Miss fans to be disappointed in how the last few seasons shook out, especially with back-to-back wins over Alabama, but Hugh Freeze has made the program a mainstay in the Top 25. This year, the Rebels have a chance to win 10 games for the first time since 2003, and win their first Sugar Bowl since 1969. That's pretty good progress.
