Lane Kiffin has only been the head coach at Ole Miss for a few days, but he already appears to be making an impact on the recruiting trail. He just landed his first offensive prospect in the Class of 2020, and it’s at a key position for the Rebels.
On Monday, quarterback Kade Renfro of Stephenville High School announced he is committing to Ole Miss. The announcement comes just a few days after he made his official visit to Oxford.
Hotty Toddy!!! Thanks for all the support throughout the recruiting process. The next chapter begins, and now it’s time to get to work as an Ole Miss Rebel! #LaneTrain #SHARKSEA20N #AGTG
247Sports rates Renfro as a three-star recruit and the No. 1406 overall prospect in the country in the Class of 2020. He is the No. 51 pro-style quarterback in the nation, and the No. 193 prospect from the state of Texas.
MaxPreps noted that in 11 games at Stephenville this year, Renfro has completed 59.3-percent of his passes for 2,372 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Thus far the Rebels have 16 commitments, giving them the No. 11 class in the SEC and the No. 43 class in the nation.
Kiffin has a lot of recruiting work to do before his team becomes competitive nationally, let alone in their conference.
But he’s off to a fast start.
