Now that Lane Kiffin’s coaching staff is complete for next season, the head coach of the Ole Miss Rebels has now turned his attention over to recruiting. It appears his sights are set on the son of a rival program’s coach.
Since Kiffin didn’t have much time to add pieces to his 2020 recruiting class, the Rebels have the No. 40 overall class in the country, per 247Sports. Judging off his recent actions though, it seems like his next two classes will be graded much higher.
Earlier this week, Kiffin offered dual-threat quarterback Kaden Martin a scholarship. He’s the son of Tee Martin, the passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach for the Tennessee Volunteers.
Martin is a 2022 recruit and already holds offers from Alabama, Duke, Florida Atlantic, Kentucky, USC and West Virginia. Ole Miss is the latest program to join the sweepstakes.
Although the thought of Tee’s son playing for another program in the SEC might sound unusual for some fans, the assistant coach of the Volunteers is extremely proud of Kaden.
Tee went on Twitter to thank Kiffin for extending the offer to his son. They spent time together on USC’s coaching staff back in 2012.

Tennessee has yet to offer a scholarship to Kaden, but that could change in the future.
Regardless of where Kaden chooses to play college football, it sounds like his father will approve of his decision.
