Laremy Tunsil did not play on Sunday. Here’s why.
Laremy Tunsil, a rookie offensive lineman for the Miami Dolphins, was out on Sunday. No specific reason was given by the team; he was just listed as inactive.
The No. 13 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft out of Ole Miss reportedly injured his ankle getting out of the shower.
Miami radio host Andy Slater first reported the news.
Tunsil informed the Dolphins’ staff that he fell in the shower at the team’s hotel, according to sources.
It is normal for a team to stay at a hotel the night before a home game.
The severity of Tunsil’s injury is unknown.
Tunsil is listed as the team’s starter at left guard, but he was supposed to make his second straight start at left tackle with Branden Albert injured.
The Dolphins fell to the Titans on Sunday, 30-17. Miami QB Ryan Tannehill was sacked six times in the loss.
