Ole Miss Announces That Star Offensive Tackle Laremy Tunsil Is Being Held Out Of Today's Game

Ole Miss kicks off the 2015 season against the University of Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks at noon today, and will be breaking in new starting quarterback Chad Kelly. They won't have the star offensive tackle who would be guarding his blind side. Ole Miss announced that offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil is being withheld from today's game.

There is no official word about what this is related to, but the safe bet is that it has something to do with his stepfather's allegations that he had been meeting with agents. Back in July, Ole Miss stated that it was giving the NCAA its "full cooperation" in investigating the matter. If that ugly situation from the off-season affects his eligibility going forward, it is a total shame.
