Ole Miss Football: Ole Miss Coach Hugh Freeze Wants To Get Rid Of National Signing Day

Update: Tennessee head coach Butch Jones agrees with Freeze's take.

Earlier: There's been ample talk of implementing an early signing period in college football as a means of limiting de-commitments from recruits. Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze wants to take things one step further.

Freeze doesn't want to limit things to National Signing Day or even designated periods of time. He wants recruits to be able to sign whenever they are ready to choose a program.

An interesting proposal. On another recruiting note, Freeze still carries a torch for Mississippi State defensive tackle Chris Jones, who inked with the Bulldogs instead of Ole Miss in 2013 after a fierce recruiting battle between the rival programs.
