This past Saturday, Alabama star running back Kenyan Drake suffered a gruesome injury, eventually confirmed to be a broken leg, in the second quarter of his team's loss to Ole Miss on the road. Near the end of the play, it appeared, at least on video, that Rebels defensive back Trae Elston kicked Drake when he was already on the ground. Elston denied any wrongdoing, but he was suspended for the first half of this week's game against Texas A&M.
Friday, Elston finally reached out to Drake, on Twitter, to wish him a "speedy" recovery. It's not exactly an apology, since he clearly doesn't believe he did anything wrong, but it's still a nice gesture. He says that he waited for the media to die down before doing so.

Doctors have confirmed that Drake's season is over, but the star tailback should make a full recovery and be back on the field in the future. Let's hope he's back for next year's contest against Ole Miss.
