Ole Miss vs. Memphis preview:

Ole Miss is coming off a huge 45-14 win against Georgia, where the Rebels actually managed to not squander a massive lead for the first time this season. QB Chad Kelly finally had a complete game, and the Rebels looked like the team everyone thought they could be preseason. The offense is top-ten in the country and has proven they can put up points in a hurry, while the defense is as good as any unit in the nation when they play for all 60 minutes.

Memphis enters the matchup after a 77-3 dismantling of Bowling Green, keeping the Tigers' unbeaten record intact. With a stellar defense and an offense that has put up at least 35 every game, they're not going to roll over for anyone. They'll be looking to once again upset the Rebels.

Ole Miss is 48-11 when facing the Memphis Tigers, though in 2015 when the two teams last faced off, the Tigers stunned the Rebels and took the win, 37-24.

Ole Miss vs. Memphis prediction:

Despite the spread and the ESPN prediction, I think this one will be close. Memphis' defense is top-ten in the country and if Chad Kelly struggles early, the Tigers could capitalize. I think Ole Miss squeaks the win out, but just barely, and I wouldn't be surprised if Memphis stole this one.
