Photo: Ole Miss Switches It Up, Goes With Powder Blue Throwback Helmets To Honor Chucky Mullins

Tonight, the Ole Miss Rebels are honoring the legacy of former defensive back Chucky Mullins, who passed away from a pulmonary embolism in 1991 after suffering a brutal hit in 1989 against Vanderbilt that left him paralyzed. Earlier this week, the school released a photo of dozens of helmets (that the players were supposedly wearing) with his No. 38 on the side. The school also painted the end zones and marked the 38-yard-lines in his honor.

Well, it looks like Ole Miss decided to call an audible on the helmets. The Rebels will actually be wearing powder blue throwbacks to honor his legacy even further.
