Lane Kiffin is continuing to build his staff at Ole Miss in an effort to get his first year at Oxford started off strong. In the process, he’s also grabbing a number of quality assistants and staffers from his SEC rivals.
According to Matt Zenitz of AL.com, Kiffin is hiring South Carolina’s director of personnel Matt Lindsey to serve as his new general manager.
A graduate from Alabama in 2013, Lindsey worked in the Crimson Tide’s recruiting office as an undergrad.
After graduating, he began working for the Philadelphia Eagles as a scouting assistant. He was promoted to College Scouting Coordinator in Philadelphia in 2014 and served in that role until joining the Gamecocks in 2017.

Lane Kiffin’s coaching staff at Ole Miss for 2020 includes four who spent this past year working in SEC schools. He also managed to snag a few from the NFL, and brought over some of his assistants from his previous tenure at FAU.
Kiffin is going to have his work cut out for him at Ole Miss, specifically within his own division. Alabama, Auburn, LSU, and Texas A&M can make quick work out of any team that isn’t prepared.
Ole Miss’s first few games are a murderer’s row of brutal teams. Baylor, Auburn, LSU, Alabama, and Florida are all on the schedule in the first seven weeks.
Kiffin will need all of the help he can get to make Ole Miss bowl-eligible in his first year.
