Ole Miss hasn't been atop the SEC standings in a long, long time (1963). The school typically pumps out decent recruiting classes, but it rarely competes with the best of the best. This year, that's changing. The Rebels are poised for arguably their best class of all-time.
Last week, they landed the top WR prospect in the nation, Laquon Treadwell. Now, as Scout's Scott Kennedy has reported, they've secured the top offensive tackle recruit in the country as well.
It's also very possible that on signing day (Feb. 6th), the school could land the top overall recruit in the nation, Robert Nkemdiche. For those counting, the Rebels could possibly get the nation's top wide receiver, offensive tackle, and defensive end in the country - all in one class. And that doesn't even factor in the numerous 4-star commitments they've gotten.
But in today's world, nobody believes anything is done legitimately anymore. So when an always-mediocre college football program puts together one of the best recruiting classes in the country, the response is about what you'd expect. Check it out:
