4-Star PF Jontay Porter Announces Missouri Commitment

Jontay Porter is teaming up with his brother, as expected.

Seattle (Wash.) Nathan Hale four-star power forward Jontay Porter is heading to Missouri.

Many predicted this would be the case, but Porter made it official on Twitter just now.

Jontay is the younger brother of Michael Porter Jr., the top player in the 2017 class and a Missouri signee. Their father is also on staff at Mizzou. The younger Porter is the No. 27 player in the 2018 class, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings, but there is a catch. He could very likely reclassify to 2017 and enroll in college this fall with his brother.

If he goes into the 2017 class, he'll join an elite crop of recruits. The Tigers already have a top-10 haul.

Missouri was just 27-68 the past three seasons under Kim Anderson, but new head coach Cuonzo Martin is trying to rebuild quickly.
