McIllece Sports Predicts 2016 SEC Conference Standings

McIllece Sportsis among the most accurate college football predictors on the internet, coming in with the second most accurate predictions in each of the last two seasons among the 21 publications charted by the Stassen Poll (2014, 2015).

McIllece has published its Top 25, which has a few pretty surprising inclusions in the top four. Using 70,000 full-season simulations, they also calculated the percent chance for each team to win the two divisions. Tennessee comes out way ahead in the East, at 61-percent, while Alabama is expected to win the West, with 36-percent of the projections.

Here are the full standings:

SEC East:

1. Tennessee
2. Florida
3. Georgia
4. Kentucky
5. Missouri
6. Vanderbilt
7. South Carolina

SEC West:

1. Alabama
2. LSU
3. Ole Miss
4. Auburn
5. Arkansas
6. Mississippi State
7. Texas A&M

Could we see an Alabama-Tennessee rematch in the SEC Title game? Tennessee fans would certainly sign up for that kind of long-awaited breakout season.
